My neice has been diagnosed with quite a few food allergies including peanuts, dairy, corn, gluten, and soy. All things that are rampant in most food products in this country. And those who don't directly contain these ingredients most often are contaminated by them.
My sister found a great website, Allergy Grocer, that sells a variety of "safe" products. Better yet, for each product it lists the ingredients and give you an idea of what the other potential allergen contaminants might be for a given product. They also have a search feature that allows you to find products free of specific allergens. You can order through them, or just look up products sold at your local store that they carry to get more detailed information on what's in them. I have ordered products through the website and found that shipping was quick and had no issues at all. Of course, like most allergen free food, it is a bit pricey. Hopefully this will help someone dealing with food allergies!

Although we have no food allergies in our house, I just wanted to stop by and say this is a great tip. Thanks for sharing it! Have a great day!
